Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 small onion
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 can liquid coconut cream
- 1/2 kg cleaned shrimp
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 2 tablespoons yellow curry paste
- Salt
- Frozen mixed vegetables such as peas, carrots, and corn
- 1 medium potato
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Sauté or fry the finely chopped onion in oil until it softens, then add the crushed garlic and stir.
- Add the shrimp and cook, stirring, until they turn red.
- Add the mixed vegetables and stir.
- Add the potatoes cut into small pieces and stir, then add the curry powder and curry paste and stir briefly until the vegetables begin to wilt.
- Add the coconut milk or cream and let it boil for about a quarter of an hour (about 15 minutes) or until the vegetables are cooked. If the mixture is still too thin, add a little flour dissolved in a little water and stir until it thickens.Timers: 15 min
- Serve Shrimp Curry alongside white rice.
