Custard Mold
A delicious, simple custard mold that takes very little time to make. Try this recipe from Shou Tabkhin Al-Youm — the kids will love it!
The custard mold is an easy dessert with few ingredients and is very popular with children!
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 liter milk (about 4 cups)
- 6 tablespoons custard powder
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar, or to taste
- Plain biscuits
- A few drops of orange extract (optional)

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Mix the powdered custard with cold milk before putting the mixture on the heat to prevent lumps
- Add sugar to the mixture and place it over low heat, stirring continuously until it boils and you obtain a smooth but thick mixture
- Prepare a springform pan or any suitable mold, or you can use deep glasses; place a layer of biscuits, then the custard mixture, and then a second layer of biscuits
- In a separate bowl place a little of the custard mixture and mix it with cocoa, stirring well until you get a dark-colored chocolate custard mixture
- Pour the dark cocoa mixture over the final layer of biscuits in the mold
- You can decorate the top of the custard mold with more biscuits or as desired
- Refrigerate the custard mold until it sets well and becomes cold
