Recipe story
Pan-fried potato patties .. a homemade recipe that’s easy, practical, and definitely delicious
Ingredients
- 3 medium potatoes
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- salt to taste
- 1 cup flour, or as needed
- mozzarella cheese
- a little oil and butter for frying the potato patties
- Also from Rana's potato recipes, here is Potatoes with Cheese in the Oven
Method
- Peel the potatoes and boil them until well cooked
- Mash the potatoes and set them aside to cool (do not knead while hot)
- After the potatoes have cooled, add the sugar and salt and mix well
- Begin adding the flour gradually, tablespoon by tablespoon, and knead until you have a dough easy to shape; stop adding flour when the dough reaches the desired consistency
- Shape the potato balls, rubbing your hand with a little oil so they do not stick
- Stuff the potato balls with cheese and seal them well
- Put a little oil and butter in a nonstick pan (the butter gives a great flavor to the patties)
- Place the potato patties in the pan and fry them on low heat until browned on both sides
- Also from Rana's potato recipes, here is baked potatoes with cheese
