How to Make Thyme Fatayer

Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- Dough
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon yeast dissolved in a little water
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- room-temperature liquid milk for kneading
- beaten egg yolk for brushing the top
- sesame seeds for the top

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Mix the dry ingredients with the oil and yogurt, then add the dissolved yeast and mix.
- Gradually add the milk and knead. Stop adding milk when you get a soft, cohesive dough.
- Let the dough rest for 1 hour before using.Timers: 60 min
- Roll out the dough on a clean surface dusted with a little flour, trim the edges to form a rectangle, then cut it into medium-sized rectangles.
- Spread the thyme mixture over each rectangle of dough and roll them up.
- Brush the top with a little beaten egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds over the surface.
- Bake the thyme fatayer in a hot oven until golden on both sides.
