Thyme fatayer... a lovely breakfast recipe.. and you can replace the thyme with cheese or hot dog, for example

Ingredients:

The dough: 4 cups flour 1 tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1 tablespoon yeast dissolved in a little water 2 tablespoons yogurt room-temperature liquid milk for kneading beaten egg yolk for brushing the top sesame seeds for the top

Preparation:

Mix the dry ingredients with the oil and yogurt, then add the dissolved yeast and mix.
Gradually add the milk and knead. Stop adding milk when you get a soft, cohesive dough.
Let the dough rest for 1 hour before using.
Roll out the dough on a clean surface dusted with a little flour, trim the edges to form a rectangle, then cut it into medium-sized rectangles.
Spread the thyme mixture over each rectangle of dough and roll them up.
Brush the top with a little beaten egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds over the surface.
Bake the thyme fatayer in a hot oven until golden on both sides.
