Choco Prince or Lazy Cake... Easy to make and does not require an oven

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup oil or butter
  • a dash of vanilla
  • plain biscuits - amount as desired
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee (optional)
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • nuts such as walnuts and almonds (optional)
  • Sauce:
  • cocoa
  • sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 coffee cup water

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients, except the biscuits, on the heat, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens
  2. Set the mixture aside to cool slightly, then add the biscuits broken by hand into small pieces. At this stage you can add nuts if desired
  3. Mix well and place the mixture in a mold lined with cling film for easy serving
  4. Place the mold in the refrigerator for about 4 hours
    Timers: 240 min
  5. Meanwhile prepare the sauce: mix sweetened condensed milk with cocoa and add a little water
  6. Put the sauce ingredients over heat and stir until heated and combined
  7. Let the sauce cool
  8. Invert the mold onto a serving plate and remove the cling film from the top
  9. Spread the sauce over the top of the cake and return the Choco Prince (Lazy Cake) to the refrigerator until serving
