Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 600 g white flour, equivalent to 5 cups minus 2 tablespoons flour
- 4 tablespoons milk powder or 40 g
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 350 g cold butter from the fridge, firm and cut into small cubes
- Topping
- 1 beaten egg
- Sesame seeds
- Nigella seeds

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Mix the dry ingredients, then add the butter and rub it well until the mixture becomes like sand.
- Then add the water, oil and egg and bring the dough together without kneading—never knead petit four dough of any kind.
- When the dough is ready, refrigerate it until the next day.
- On the following day, cut the dough and shape it as desired.
- Brush the pieces with egg and sprinkle nigella seeds or sesame on top.
- Bake the savory petit fours at 170°C for 12 minutes.Timers: 12 min
- Serve the savory petit fours cold.
