Homemade chicken schnitzel (escalope)

Ingredients

  • A squeeze of lemon
  • Flour
  • Egg
  • Ground toasted bread (breadcrumbs)

Method

  1. Sprinkle black pepper, salt, and a squeeze of lemon over the cleaned chicken slices, then refrigerate them for about half an hour.
  2. After the time has passed, prepare a bowl of flour, another with beaten eggs, and a third with breadcrumbs; dip the chicken slices first in the flour, then the egg, and finally the breadcrumbs.
  3. Fry the chicken escalope in plenty of oil at medium heat, or use a little oil if preferred.
  4. You can store the escalope in the freezer to fry later.
