Homemade chicken schnitzel (escalope)

Chicken breast, cut into wide, slightly thin slices

Black pepper

Salt, to taste

A squeeze of lemon

Flour

Egg

Ground toasted bread (breadcrumbs)

Sprinkle black pepper, salt and a squeeze of lemon over the cleaned chicken slices, then leave them in the fridge for about half an hour.
After that time, prepare one bowl with flour, another with beaten egg, and a third with the breadcrumbs. Dip the chicken slices in the flour first, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs.
Fry the chicken escalope in plenty of oil over medium heat, or use a small amount of oil if preferred.
