- 3 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- zest of 1 whole orange
- 1 cup orange juice
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 6 eggs
- vanilla
- 2 cups sugar
- a pinch of salt
Method

- Sift the dry ingredients first....
- Whisk the eggs with the vanilla and orange zest for 10 minutes without stopping...Timers: 10 min
- Add the sugar and continue whisking, then add the oil and orange juice. At this stage reduce the mixer speed and add the dry ingredient mixture, i.e. the flour, cornstarch, baking powder and a pinch of salt...
- Beat for about 3 minutes then pour the batter into the cake pan or baking pan.Timers: 3 min
- Place the cake in a preheated oven and bake at 180°C for approximately 40 minutes or until it is cooked and risen, depending on your oven....Timers: 40 min
