Gazelle Eye Halva

Ingredients

- 1 cup fine semolina
- 1 cup flour, or slightly more depending on the flour
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons shredded coconut for flavor
- 1/2 cup corn oil
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon yeast
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Pistachios for garnish
- Hot syrup (qater or shireh)
- You can also form rounds, shape them like an eye, press the center, and place a pistachio. Place the Gazelle Eye cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment and put them in the oven on the middle rack... when they are cooked, brown thetop
- Remove the tray from the oven and pour hot syrup over the Gazelle Eye cookies, then allow them to cool before serving
