Ingredients :

1 cup fine semolina

1 cup flour, or slightly more depending on the flour

1/2 cup yogurt

2 tablespoons shredded coconut for flavor

1/2 cup corn oil

1/2 cup butter

1 teaspoon yeast

1 teaspoon baking powder

Pistachios for garnish

hot syrup (sugar syrup)

Method of preparation:

Mix the dry ingredients well, then add the rest and knead well. We can shape Gazelle Eye Halva in two different ways... we can form fingers from the dough and fold them to resemble the eye, as shown in the accompanying photo.

We can also form circles, mark them like eyes, press in the center and place a pistachio.

Place the Gazelle Eye sweets on a baking sheet lined with parchment and bake on the middle rack... when done, brown the tops.

Remove the tray from the oven and pour hot syrup over the Gazelle Eye Halva while warm, then let them cool before serving
