Ingredients

  • Plain chocolate cake, baked ahead or store-bought
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • or
  • Nutella
  • Whipped Chantilly cream
  • Chocolate pieces, melted in a double boiler
  • Chocolate sprinkles (vermicelli), crushed nuts, or desiccated coconut for decoration

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Crumble the plain cake and add sweetened condensed milk, or crème chantilly, or Nutella as desired, and knead well.
  2. Continue kneading until you get a dough-like consistency that does not stick to your hands.
  3. Shape the mixture into balls of equal size.
  4. Melt chocolate pieces in a bain-marie and dip the balls completely into the melted chocolate.
  5. Lift each chocolate-coated ball with a slotted spoon or fork, let it drain for a few seconds, then place it on parchment paper.
  6. Place the cake pops in the refrigerator or freezer until they just set and the chocolate firms on the outside.
  7. You can decorate the pops with chocolate, nuts, or coconut before putting them in the freezer.
