Easy Potato Soup

Ingredients

- 5 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into medium cubes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 stalk leek, sliced — optional
- 1 can qaimar cream or 1 small tub crème fraîche
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper
- A pinch of grated nutmeg
- A pinch of white pepper
- Grated carrot — optional
- 4 tablespoons powdered milk

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- In a pot over the heat, add a little vegetable oil and sauté the onion and leek until the onion softens without taking color.
- Add the potatoes and stir briefly, then add water and simmer them.
- Shortly before they are done, add the milk and carrots and let them boil.
- When the vegetables are cooked, put the potato soup mixture into the blender and puree until smooth and creamy, then return it to the pot and add the cream and spices and stir.
- If the soup is very thick, add a little water and stir; then you will need to bring it back to a brief boil.
- Serve the easy potato soup with toast brushed with a little olive oil and toasted in the oven.
