Ingredients

  • 1 kilo beef fillet slices
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 cup fresh or canned mushrooms
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 3 potatoes
  • Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon seven-spice blend
  • A pinch of red pepper
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • In a baking tray, mix the remaining ingredients well together, then add the meat with the sauce that forms.
  • Before the fillet is fully cooked, add the potatoes with a sprinkle of parsley... Serve with white rice

Method

  1. Marinate the fillet meat with the spices and salt for a while.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the potatoes over medium heat until golden and half cooked.
  3. Remove the potatoes and fry the onion in the same pan until lightly golden.
  4. Remove the onion and fry the marinated meat slices over high heat until browned.
  5. Remove the meat from the pan and add 2 cups water with the juice of 1/2 a lemon.
  6. Let the ingredients simmer over low heat.
  7. In a baking dish, mix the remaining ingredients well, then add the meat along with the sauce it produced.
  8. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees on the middle rack.
  9. Cover the dish and bake until the meat, carrots, and peas are fully cooked.
  10. Before the beef fillet is completely done, add the potatoes with a sprinkle of parsley... serve with white rice.
