Cinnamon Rolls
Cinnamon rolls — a much-requested recipe. They don’t need long in the oven, but the secret is letting the dough rest twice. Top with powdered-sugar icing or chocolate sauce.

Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Filling
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons butter, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Decoration (optional)
- Powdered-sugar icing: 1 cup icing sugar + 2 tablespoons milk

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- First, mix the dough ingredients together, add the water gradually, and knead until you have a cohesive, soft dough.
- Let the dough rise; it must rise well for the recipe to succeed.
- After it has risen, roll the dough into a rectangle and spread the filling ingredients over it — spread the butter and sprinkle cinnamon, sugar, and cocoa on top.
- Roll the cinnamon roll dough into a log and seal the edges well.
- Cut the log into equal pieces and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper; let them rest and rise again.
- Meanwhile, preheat the oven, then bake the cinnamon rolls at 180°C for only 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Remove the cinnamon rolls from the oven and immediately pour over powdered-sugar icing or chocolate sauce.
