Ingredients

  • Pieces of fresh salmon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • A pinch of rosemary
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons crushed crackers

Method

  1. Start by adding a little soy sauce, olive oil, rosemary, a pinch of ginger, and crushed garlic to the well-washed salmon pieces.
  2. Do not add salt because the soy sauce contains salt… Make small slits in each salmon piece and leave it in this mixture for at least a quarter of an hour so it can fully absorb the flavors…
  3. … Place the salmon in a baking tray and brush each piece with a little melted butter, then sprinkle on the crushed crackers.
  4. … If you have a skillet or ridged grill pan, you can use it because it helps the salmon cook faster; in that case you can pan-sear the salmon on the stovetop rather than bake it in the oven.
  5. Place the salmon tray in a hot oven and roast for a maximum of 20 minutes. We advise not leaving the salmon in the oven too long so it doesn't dry out.

  6. You can serve the grilled salmon pieces alongside any salad you prefer, or with boiled or roasted vegetables, with roasted potatoes or mashed potatoes, and even with sweet potatoes
