Ingredients

  • 1 liter milk
  • 1/2 cup powdered milk
  • 1 small cup rice
  • 2 small cups sugar or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mastic
  • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
  • 1 small container fresh cream

Method

  1. Soak the rice in water the night before making the rice pudding.
  2. We recommend not washing the rice multiple times before soaking; wash it only once to retain its starch.
  3. The next day, add the powdered and liquid milk over low heat.
  4. When the milk boils, stirring occasionally, add the rice gradually... when the rice is cooked add the sugar and continue stirring over low heat.
  5. When the milk thickens, remove the pot from the heat and add the cream, ground mastic, and orange blossom water.
  6. Return the pot to low heat for two minutes, then remove from the heat. Let the mixture rest for a few minutes, then pour into serving dishes and garnish as desired.
