Yellow Rice with Chicken

Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 2 cups American rice
- 4 cups broth or chicken cooking liquid
- 1 kilo chicken breast
- Seasonings for boiling the chicken / bay leaves and cinnamon sticks
- 1 cup canned corn
- 4 chicken bouillon cubes
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon turmeric or duga safra
- Salt to taste
- Nuts to taste
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Wash the chicken thoroughly with water, salt, and vinegar, and drain it.
- Sprinkle a little salt on it, then sauté it in a little oil until it browns slightly.
- Put the chicken in a pot on the stove with aromatics and water and let it boil until it is well cooked.
- Wash the rice then soak it in water with a tablespoon of salt for 15 minutes.Timers: 15 min
- Put a little oil in a pot and add chicken stock cubes, drain the rice and add it with the spices and salt and stir.
- Add four cups of the chicken cooking stock and stir.
- Leave the rice over high heat until the stock boils, then reduce the heat.
- Shortly before the rice is done, add the corn and stir, then cover the pot again and leave it over low heat until the rice is well cooked.
- Turn off the heat and leave the pot covered so the rice rests for a few minutes.
- Pour the yellow rice into a serving dish, arrange the boiled chicken pieces on top, and garnish with fried or toasted almonds and pine nuts.
