Yellow rice... or with duga safra.. a rich dish of rice and chicken, garnished with nuts.. There are many ways to prepare this delicious chicken rice dish, and this is one easy method

Ingredients:

2 cups American rice

4 cups broth or chicken cooking liquid

1 kilo chicken breast

Seasonings for boiling the chicken / bay leaves and cinnamon sticks

1 cup canned corn

4 chicken bouillon cubes

3 tablespoons oil

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon turmeric or duga safra

Salt to taste

Nuts to taste

Preparation:

Wash the chicken well with water, salt, and vinegar, then drain it.
Sprinkle with a little salt, then fry it in a little oil until lightly browned.
Place the chicken in a pot over the heat with the seasonings and water, and let it boil until fully cooked.
Wash the rice, then soak it in water with 1 tablespoon of salt for 15 minutes.
Put a little oil in a pot and add the chicken bouillon cubes. Drain the rice and add it with the spices and salt, then stir.
Add 4 cups of the chicken cooking liquid and stir.
Leave the rice over high heat until the broth boils, then reduce the heat.
Shortly before the rice is done, add the corn, stir, cover the pot again, and leave it over low heat until the rice is fully cooked.
Turn off the heat, and leave the pot covered for a few minutes so the rice can rest.
Serve the yellow rice in a serving dish, arrange the boiled chicken pieces on top, and garnish with fried or toasted almonds and pine nuts.
