Ingredients
- 500 g minced meat
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste or tomato sauce
- 3 potatoes
- Salt
- Baharat (seven-spice mix)
Method
- Add salt and baharat to the minced meat and mix well.
- Form the meat into small meatballs.
- Set the meatballs aside. Peel and wash the potatoes, then cut them into medium-sized cubes.
- In a pot, add 2 tablespoons of oil, finely chop the onion and sauté until softened.
- Add the meatballs and gently stir over medium heat.
- When the meat changes color and the pink/red is gone, add the chopped potatoes, the tomato paste/sauce, and enough water to cook the potatoes.
- Let the Dawood Basha simmer on low to medium heat until the potatoes are cooked through.
- Serve with white rice.
