Date and semolina sweets — balls made from date paste mixed with cream and semolina, filled with almonds and coated with a variety of coatings. Easy to prepare and delicious.

Date and semolina sweets — simple and quick

Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • 1/2 cup fine semolina, toasted
  • 1/2 cup powdered milk, toasted
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 small tub ready-made Qimeer cream
  • 1 tablespoon Nescafé (instant coffee)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cardamom
  • (Date paste (quantity as needed)
  • For filling and coating: whole almonds (for filling)
  • Desiccated coconut
  • Crushed biscuits
  • Ground pistachios
  • Crushed Oreo without the cream
  • Begin adding the date paste gradually and knead until you obtain a dough that can be shaped
  • Form equal-sized balls, then stuff each with an almond and reshape into balls

Method

  2. Gradually add the date paste and knead until you have a dough that can be shaped.
  3. Form equal-sized balls, stuff each with an almond, and reshape into balls.
