Ingredients

  • 1 kilogram boneless chicken
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons hot tikka spice (with chili)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Method

  1. Wash the boneless or deboned chicken pieces and cut them into medium-sized pieces similar to shish tawook strips, then place them in a colander.
  2. Transfer the cleaned chicken pieces to a glass bowl and start seasoning them with mixed spices, garlic, salt, tikka spice, soy sauce and lemon juice. Add vegetable oil.
  3. If tikka spice is not available, it can be replaced with tawook seasoning plus two tablespoons of mustard.
  4. Let the chicken marinate for at least about one hour.
  5. After the required time, thread the chicken pieces onto wooden skewers and place them on a wide tray in the preheated oven, grilling them at high heat until fully cooked.
  6. Serve the grilled chicken skewers with rice and a green salad.
