Apple Tart
Apple tart is a popular Western dessert, especially during apple season, and there are many variations. Today we share one recipe that we hope you’ll enjoy.
An easy, delicious apple tart in a tried-and-true home recipe!
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 200 grams butter
- 2 tablespoons superfine (caster) sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Dough
- Tart filling
- 1 kilogram apples, peeled and cut into small pieces
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 50 grams butter
- A dash of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup water
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Wash the apples, peel them, and slice them into slightly thin slices.
- Place the apples over heat with 1/2 cup water... add the brown sugar, butter, vanilla, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
- Leave the mixture over heat for about 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Line a slightly deep tart pan with the tart dough.
- Pour the apple mixture into the mold or tart pan.
- Place the pan in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- When removing the tart from the oven, garnish it with walnuts.
- Place the tart in the refrigerator (not the freezer) for two hours before serving.
