If you love potato chips but worry about their health impact, we’ve got the perfect recipe. This version lets you skip store-bought chips loaded with salt and preservatives and make chips right in your own kitchen, with salt adjusted to your taste.

Ingredients

  • 3 large potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • Salt
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices.
  2. Then wash them and soak them in water and vinegar, changing the water every 15 minutes and adding vinegar each time, for two hours.
    Timers: 15 min
  3. After that, remove the potatoes from the water, place them in a colander and dry them well. Sprinkle with salt to taste and deep‑fry them in hot oil.
