Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup coarse semolina
  • 1 cup powdered milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 sachet instant cream powder
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 container (170 g) yogurt
  • Topping
  • Pakistani vermicelli, broken into small pieces
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Mix the dry ingredients together: semolina, powdered milk, shredded coconut, sugar, and baking powder.
  2. Add the liquid ingredients to the dry mixture and mix well.
  3. Grease a baking pan with tahini, pour the batter into the pan, then sprinkle the vermicelli on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes.

  4. After removing the basbousa from the oven, pour the sweetened condensed milk over it and cover for 30 minutes. Then cut and serve.
