Ingredients

  • 4 bananas
  • Half a cup of flour in a plate to dip the bananas in before coating them with the batter
  • Batter
  • Half a cup of flour
  • Half a cup of cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds or pistachios for garnish, as desired
  • Half a cup of honey for serving

Method

  1. Mix the flour, cornstarch, and sugar well, then add the water and mix or whisk until well combined.
  2. Place the batter in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
    Timers: 30 min
  3. Cut the bananas into wide slices or pieces as desired, then dip them in the flour in the plate and coat them.
  4. After half an hour, remove the batter from the refrigerator and dip the flour-coated banana pieces into the batter.
  5. Fry the banana pieces in plenty of hot oil until golden.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds or pistachios, as desired, and drizzle honey over the top.
  7. Note: Ice cream can be served alongside the fried bananas.
