The Golden Cake
An easy and very tasty recipe for the golden cake. Follow the tips in this recipe and never open the oven while baking to achieve a golden, fully risen cake.

- 5 eggs
- 1 cup oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 3 cups flour
- 2 level tablespoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- pinch of baking soda
- 1 tablespoon vinegar

Method

- Whisk the eggs, vanilla, and sugar until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes creamy
- Add the oil and milk and whisk... until you have a smooth batter
- Add the sifted flour with the baking powder
- Mix well and add the baking soda and vinegar (mix the soda and vinegar first until they fizz, then pour them over the cake batter)
- The vinegar and soda will help make the cake tender and help it rise well
- Grease the pan with flour and a splash of oil or tahini, pour the batter into the pan, and place it in the oven on the middle rack for one hour at 180°C; it is important never to open the oven
