Cauliflower in Oil
Cauliflower in oil. A very simple yet extremely tasty recipe. Despite its simplicity, it makes a delicious side dish to serve with many main courses.
Cauliflower in oil, also called zahra, is a traditional recipe — very delicious.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 kg cauliflower
- 2 medium onions
- 3 tomatoes
- Oil
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste (or tomato purée)

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Cut the cauliflower and wash it, then set aside to drain.
- Fry the chopped onion in a little oil until it turns light golden.
- Add the cauliflower to the fried onion and sauté until the cauliflower softens in the oil.
- Chop the tomatoes and add them with the sauce and salt, then stir.
- Cook over medium heat until the cauliflower is well done.
