Ready-made crust for quiche or tart

\r\n

If you’d like to make the dough at home:

Crust ingredients:

1 cup flour

1/2 cup cold butter (butter is always half the flour amount, depending on the quantity you’re making)

pinch of salt

2 tablespoons cold water (as needed for the dough)

Crust preparation:

Work the flour with the butter (the butter must be cold) and add a pinch of salt and water until a cohesive dough forms. Chill for 15 minutes. Roll out the dough in a tart pan and bake it for 10 minutes, ensuring you prick the dough with a fork to prevent puffing.

Filling ingredients:

1 onion, yellow, finely chopped

1 cup frozen spinach

3 eggs

1 small carton of fresh cooking cream

salt

black pepper

1 1/2 cups mushrooms, finely chopped

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 cup mozzarella cheese

Ingredients

  • Ready-made pastry dough specifically for quiche or tart.
  • If you prefer to make the pastry at home:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cold butter (butter is always half the amount of flour, according to the quantity you want to prepare)
  • A pinch of salt.
  • 2 tablespoons cold water (water as needed for the dough)
  • How to prepare the quiche dough:
  • Rub the flour and cold butter together (the butter should be cold), then add a pinch of salt and water until a cohesive dough forms. Chill it in the refrigerator for a quarter of an hour. Roll the dough into a tart pan and bake it for 10 minutes, taking care to prick the dough with a fork to prevent air pockets.
  • 1 regular onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup of frozen spinach
  • 3 eggs
  • A small carton of fresh cooking cream.
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups mushrooms, finely chopped.
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • A large cup of mozzarella cheese

Method

  1. In a frying pan over the heat, add a little oil and sauté the mushrooms and spinach.
  2. On the side, beat the eggs with the chopped onion and the cream.
  3. Place the ready-made pastry (or the homemade one) in a tart pan or an oven dish brushed with a little oil. Prick the pastry with a fork.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the pastry.
  5. Add the sautéed spinach and mushrooms.
  6. Pour the egg, onion and cream mixture.
  7. Put the dish into a preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
    Timers: 45 min
  8. Note: You can prepare the quiche with any filling you like or with ingredients you have available, and you can add smoked salmon for a richer flavor.
