Fig Preserves with Nuts
Fig season is here—the season of figs and delicacies, and it’s the time many people use to make the best jams and preserves. Today we share with you a wonderful, easy recipe for fig preserves, also known as fig jam.
Ingredients

- 1 kilogram dried figs
- 6 cups sugar
- 3 cups water
- half a kilogram walnuts
- quarter kilogram almonds
- 2 tablespoons sesame
- 1/2 teaspoon mastic
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- 1- Bring the water and sugar to a boil over high heat.
- 2- Cut the figs into medium pieces and add them to the water and sugar, stirring occasionally.
- 3- Before the mixture thickens completely, add lemon juice and mastic.
- 4- Add the almonds, walnuts, and sesame; once fully cooked and the liquid has dried, let the mixture cool and transfer to airtight jars.
