Zebra Cake

Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 5 eggs, at room temperature
- 1 cup liquid milk
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 cup sugar, or more to taste
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 2 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Sift the flour with the baking powder and cornstarch, then set aside.
- Using an electric mixer, beat the eggs with the sugar until creamy, then add the oil, milk, vinegar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt and beat.
- When combined, gradually add the flour mixture and beat until all is incorporated.
- Divide the batter into two parts; leave the first part plain and add cocoa to the second, mixing well.
- Prepare the pan: grease it with butter and dust with flour.
- Pour a small amount of the plain batter into the pan, then a small amount of the cocoa batter on top; continue alternating until all the batter is used.
- Place the pan in a preheated oven at 180°C and bake using bottom heat for 30 minutes.Timers: 30 min
- Turn off the bottom heat and switch to top heat for 15 minutes until the cake is cooked.Timers: 15 min
- Remove it from the oven, let cool, and serve at room temperature.
