Turkish Sheet-Pan Kebab

Ingredients

  • 500 g finely ground beef (ground twice)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • A pinch of ground black pepper
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • Topping
  • Tomato
  • Onion
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Bell pepper
  • Hot pepper - optional

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Finely chop the onion, garlic, and pepper by hand or in a food processor until very smooth.
  2. In a bowl, mix the finely chopped vegetables with the meat, salt, and spices, and mix well until the Turkish kebab mixture is homogeneous.
  3. Brush the baking tray with a little oil and spread the kebab mixture evenly.
  4. Put the tray into the oven and grill it until it browns slightly.
  5. Arrange slices of onion, tomato, pepper, and meatballs on top.
  6. Dilute the sauce with water and distribute it over the kebab in the tray.
  7. Return the tray to the oven, with heat on top and bottom, and leave it until the sauce thickens and it browns.
  8. Serve the kebab on the tray with fluffed rice.
