Ingredients
- Half a kilo of ground meat
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- A pinch of ground cinnamon
- A pinch of sweet red paprika
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper paste
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 grated onion
- 2 grated tomatoes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Pine nuts, optional
Method
- Mix the grated onion, spices, and salt with the ground meat. Mix well until the meat mixture is combined.
- Shape the meat into medium or small balls, depending on your preference.
- Fry the meatballs in olive oil, turning them until they change color on all sides.
- Add the hot pepper paste, tomato paste, and grated tomatoes over the meatballs, along with the salt. Reduce the heat and cover the pot. You can add a little water, about 1/2 cup, if needed.
- Leave the Dawood Basha over the heat until the meat is cooked and the sauce thickens slightly. It will take about 15 minutes.Timers: 15 min
