- Sweet red peppers
Method
- Wash the sweet red peppers, drain them, then dry them very well
- Cut them into thin, narrow strips
- Place the peppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
- Preheat the oven well, place the tray on the first rack, and lower the oven to the highest heat
- Leave them for about an hour, or until they are toasted and completely dry, then remove the tray from the oven
- Grind the peppers after they have cooled to room temperature, then sift them
- Store the paprika, or sweet red pepper powder, in a glass jar or plastic container, and it can be kept in the fridge or freezer
- Note: You can use hot red peppers to make a spicy powder
