Spinach Cake
A special recipe that isn't very well known in the Arab world: spinach cake with vanilla cream! This recipe comes from German cuisine and is definitely worth trying, especially since the photos are so tempting.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 4 eggs
- 4 tablespoons vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 kilo very finely chopped spinach
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- Note: These ingredients are for one cake pan. If you want to prepare two cake pans, double the quantities.
- Method for preparing the batter
- Start by whisking the eggs first with the vanilla, then add the sugar, vegetable oil, and milk.
- Continue whisking, then add the spinach and finally the flour with the baking powder.
- Depending on the desired cake size and the required quantity... to prepare a cake similar to the photos, you should prepare the ingredients above twice to get double the amount in these quantities.
- 600 ml whipping cream
- 8 tablespoons vanilla sugar
- 1 teaspoon cream stabilizer (can be replaced with a packet of ready-made whipped cream powder)
- Note
- Make sure the spinach is washed and chopped very finely, and it is preferable to chop it in a food processor. It is best to place it in a strainer to remove all the water thoroughly.
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Pour the mixture into two round pans.
- Bake the two pans at 180 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the oven.Timers: 45 min
- After removing the two pans from the oven, let them cool well, then cut each cake into two so that you get four cake layers.
- Place the first layer of spinach cake, then a layer of cream, then a layer of spinach cake, and then another layer of cream until all the mixture is used up.
