Batata harra is one of the tastiest potato dishes! It is usually served as a side dish and is one of the most popular Lebanese appetizers
Ingredients
- 4 potatoes, peeled
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh cilantro
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- Vegetable oil, as needed
- 1 tablespoon hot chili paste or hot sauce
- Green and red sweet pepper, diced
Method
- Cut the potatoes into cubes and boil them halfway in salted boiling water.
- Drain well, then fry in plenty of hot oil until golden.
- Remove from the oil and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- In a pan over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of oil and fry the garlic until fragrant, then add the peppers and cilantro.
- Add the hot chili paste, then the fried potatoes, and toss to combine.
- Season with salt to taste, toss again, then turn off the heat.
- Serve the batata harra immediately.
