Shaibiyat
A new recipe and a different way to serve shaibiyat with ashta. Shaibiyat is a classic, traditional sweet, but we can always add our own touches, especially in the final decorating stage.

- 3 cups of flour (dough)
- Half a cup of oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon of yeast
- A pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 2 tablespoons of sugar syrup (qatir)
- Half a cup of yogurt
- Half a cup of milk
- Ashta (qaimar)
- Cream (ashta):
- 2 cups of liquid milk
- 4 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon of rose water
- 1 teaspoon of orange blossom water
- Put them on the stove until the mixture boils and thickens
- Sugar syrup:
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of lemon (juice)
- 1 teaspoon of rose water
- 1 teaspoon of orange blossom water

Method
- Knead the ingredients together well and leave the dough for about 4 hours until it rises well... Then divide the dough into 20 piecesTimers: 240 min
- Roll out each piece of dough separately, sprinkling cornstarch or butter as desired between each layer and arranging them one on top of the other
- Then roll them out, or flatten them all with a rolling pin, then roll them together to form a cylinder and cut them again into individual pieces.
- Flatten each piece slightly and fill it with ashta
- Brush the tops of the shaibiyat with butter or ghee, as desired, and place them in a preheated oven to bake.
- Repeat brushing the tops of the shaibiyat 4 times until golden
