Seven-Up cake... You can make this cake using any kind of juice or soft drink, including Seven-Up. The result is a light and fluffy cake :)

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Seven-Up
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • vanilla (to taste)

Method

  1. Beat the eggs and sugar together until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes thick.
  2. Add the flour in batches and mix well.
  3. Add the baking powder and vanilla and stir, then add the oil and mix, and finally add the Seven-Up and mix well.
  4. Grease the pan with butter or oil and dust with flour, then pour the batter into the pan.
  5. Place the pan in the oven at 180°C; be sure to put the Seven-Up cake on the middle rack.
  6. Bake about 35 minutes or according to your oven; test for doneness, and when done remove from the oven.
  7. Allow the Seven-Up cake to cool to room temperature before serving.
