Savory salted biscuits — an easy, delicious homemade recipe!
Ingredients
- 500 grams sifted flour
- 4 tablespoons cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- a pinch of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 125 grams soft butter
- Knead the mixture until you have a smooth, non-sticky dough.
- Divide the savory biscuit dough into several portions and add to each portion the flavor you want: za'atar, cumin, cheddar cheese, or hot pepper according to taste.
- Roll out the biscuit or savory cookie dough to medium thickness and cut into the shapes you want.
- Brush the tops of the biscuits with egg white and sprinkle the surface with sesame seeds or nigella (black) seeds.
- Bake the savory biscuits in a preheated oven at 180°C on the middle rack.
