Savory cupcakes—perfect for breakfast or as a quick snack for kids!
Ingredients
- 2 eggs at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1½ (170 g) containers plain yogurt
- Cream cheese (amount as desired)
- ½ cup oil
- 2 cups plus 3 teaspoons all-purpose flour
- Sweet akkawi cheese, cut into cubes
- Paprika or sweet red pepper powder
- Sliced olives
- Dried za'atar
- Za'atar or grated cheese for topping

Method
- Beat the eggs with the vinegar, then add the yogurt, cream cheese and oil and continue beating
- Sift the flour and add it in batches, folding with a spoon from bottom to top
- Add the cubes of cheese, paprika, olives and za'atar and stir with a spoon
- Spoon the mixture into silicone or metal cupcake molds greased with oil or other available fat
- Sprinkle the tops with za'atar or grated cheese then bake at 170°C until cooked
- Test with small wooden skewers to make sure they are done, then let them cool and serve
