Delicious, easy sausage rolls
Ingredients
- 1 kg lean minced meat (for example meat used for kibbeh)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, finely chopped
- Fresh mint leaves
- Fresh basil leaves
- Pinch of garlic powder
- Pinch of dried coriander
- Pinch of ground cumin
- Pinch of dried oregano or thyme
- Salt to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (to brush the pastry)
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Ready-made puff pastry

Method
- Mix all filling ingredients together well.
- Lay several sheets of puff pastry on top of each other and spread a strip of the filling lengthwise.
- Roll the pastry around the filling to form a log.
- Cut the long log into shorter rolls, or leave it whole if you prefer.
- Place the sausage rolls on a baking tray lightly greased with oil, then brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds, then bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until the pastry is cooked and golden.
