Rice with chicken in an easy, quick homemade recipe
Ingredients
- 1 dry onion
- 2 cups rice
- 1 whole chicken
- Chicken boiling aromatics
- 2 cups minced meat
- A pinch of ground cinnamon
- A pinch of sweet red paprika
- A pinch of seven-spice
- Salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Fried nuts for garnish
Method
- Finely chop the dry onion into small cubes
- Wash the rice well and leave it wet or soaked in water for about 30 minutesTimers: 30 min
- Meanwhile, wash the chicken well, cut it into pieces, and rub it with salt, lemon, and a little tahini. Wash the chicken pieces again and boil them in water. Discard the first water once the white foam appears, then add a second amount of clean water over the chicken.
- Add the boiling aromatics: cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamom pods, a small onion, and bay leaf.
- Put a little vegetable oil in a pot over the heat, sauté the chopped onion, then add the minced meat and cook it with the onion.
- Add the salt, seven-spice, cinnamon, and paprika over the meat.
- Add the washed rice over the meat and onion and stir it with the meat and onion for several minutes.
- Pour the chicken cooking broth over the rice and cook until it boils, then leave it on low heat until done
- When the rice is cooked, add butter or ghee, as desired
- Serve the rice in a serving dish, place the chicken pieces on top, then the fried nuts of pine nuts and almonds.
