Ingredients
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1/4 cup superfine sugar
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method
- We whisk the icing sugar with the butter, then add the egg yolk and vanilla and whisk again until the dough is soft.
- We add the flour and bring the dough together just until combined; do not knead so it won’t become tough when baked.
- We chill the petit four dough in the refrigerator for half an hour.
- After that, shape it as desired and place the pieces on parchment paper on a baking tray.
- We bake the petit fours for 10 minutes, watching them.Timers: 10 min
- We let them cool completely at room temperature before decorating. You can fill each with any jam or with white or dark chocolate, then sandwich two pieces together and dip them in melted chocolate, or simply dust with powdered sugar, etc.
