Pan-fried potatoes with ground beef, onion and fennel — a tasty, quick-to-make meal
Ingredients
- Half a kilo potatoes
- Coarsely ground beef
- Dry onion
- 1 tablespoon butter
- A pinch of seven-spice blend
- Salt to taste
- A little fresh fennel (fennel fronds)
- 1/4 cup water

Method
- Cut the potatoes into small cubes. Fry them in plenty of hot oil and set aside.
- In a pan, sauté the finely chopped onion in a little oil until wilted, then add the ground meat and cook until done.
- Add a tablespoon of butter, sprinkle seven-spice mix and salt and stir, then add the fried potatoes with 1/4 cup water and mix.
- Cover them for about 5 minutes, then add the fennel and stir for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the pan-fried potatoes with ground meat, onion and fennel with salad or fattoush.
