Pakistani Vermicelli Kunafa

Pakistani vermicelli kunafa — a distinctive and very delicious dessert!
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- 3 eggs
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 3 tbsp powdered milk
- 3 pieces cream cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 packet ready-made Pakistani vermicelli
- Shelled pistachios for garnish
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Place the yogurt, oil, eggs, vanilla, cream cheese and sugar in a blender.
- Blend the ingredients for three minutes.
- Pour the mixture into a bowl and add the remaining ingredients.
- Add the flour, desiccated coconut and baking powder and stir in one direction until you have a smooth batter.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and sprinkle the vermicelli over the top.
- Bake the Pakistani vermicelli kunafa in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 40 minutes.Timers: 40 min
- When baked and still hot, pour the sweetened condensed milk over the kunafa so it soaks in.
- Cut to size as desired and serve immediately.
