Recipe story

Orange muhallebi... why not step away from the traditional versions of some desserts? They’re delicious, but it’s nice to try new flavors — like orange!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh orange juice
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup sugar
  • For garnish:
  • Shredded coconut
  • Ground pistachios

  2. Pour the orange muhallebi into small cups and allow them to cool at room temperature.
  3. Refrigerate for a sufficient time until they are well chilled.
  4. To serve, invert the orange muhallebi from the cups onto a plate with shredded coconut and roll it in the coconut on all sides, then decorate the top with crushed pistachios.
