How to Make Orange Cake

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup orange juice
- pinch of vanilla
- grated zest of 2 oranges
Method
- Grease and flour the baking pan and set aside…
- Beat the eggs and sugar with the vanilla and orange zest for 5 minutes until the mixture lightens in color, which helps the cake rise later…Timers: 5 min
- Add the oil and continue beating… In a separate bowl, whisk the baking powder with the flour and add half of the flour with a little orange juice to the egg mixture… Beat well, then add the remaining flour and the juice…
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C, on the middle rack for 40 to 45 minutes, depending on your oven’s strength.Timers: 45 min
- When the cake is done and risen, turn off the oven but leave the cake inside for 10 minutes before removing it and letting it cool, then transfer to a serving plate and decorate as desiredTimers: 10 min
