  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 level teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  1. Beat the eggs with the sugar well until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the liquids and whisk, then add the remaining ingredients and beat well until the mixture is uniform.
  3. Grease the pan with a little tahini and oil.
  4. Pour the orange-and-butter cake batter into the pan and put it in the oven.
  5. Place the pan on the middle rack and bake for about 40 minutes at 170°C, watching it as time varies by oven.
  6. Test the cake with a small wooden skewer.
  7. Let it cool to room temperature before serving.
