  • 1 small coffee cup tahini
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 and 1/2 small coffee cups honey
  • mashed banana
  • 1 cup fine sugar
  • vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • About 10 cups shredded coconut and more if needed
  • Note: The small Arabic coffee cup was used as the measure for this recipe to yield a medium-sized tray. If you wish to increase the quantity, you can scale the ingredients proportionally using the same cup as the standard.

Method

  1. Place the tahini with one small coffee cup of honey and mix the ingredients a little ...
  2. Add the mashed banana and stir the mixture, then add the oil and continue mixing well while adding the sugar and cornstarch.. Mix the ingredients and then add the shredded coconut and the baking powder ..
  3. Knead by hand until you obtain a homogeneous dough, add the remaining honey and knead a little.
  4. Spread the Namoura into a baking tray and decorate it as desired..
  5. Bake the Namoura for only a few minutes in the oven and brown the top; when it is cooked and browned, pour a little syrup over it while it is still hot. You may omit the syrup according to preference.
